Challenging Racism - Ernico Stennett

This project is being developed with Enrico Stennett's widow, Mary Stennett, as the "Enrico Stennett Legacy Project".

Born in Jamaica in challenging circumstances, Enrico travelled to Britain in 1948 and was active in support a year later when Empire Windrush docked at Tibury, bringing may people from Jamaica and other Caribbean Islands recruited for work in Britian after the war.

His work continued over the years and left a real legacy in terms of addressing race relations issues. 

A brilliant film was produced about Enrico Stennett called "Mr Dancing Feet" on video
